Great English Cheeses! Structured tasting and wine pairing

Morgan Rock
Learn how to perform a structured cheese tasting of three English cheeses accompanied by a wine pairing.

What you'll learn

We will taste and take notes on three different artisan English cheeses, along with fool proof wine pairings and an explanation as to why they work.

A tasting sheet template will be provided online, as well as a specialist flavour wheel.

Alongside covering history and provenance, we will deconstruct each of the cheeses, noting how they smell, taste and make you feel. This detailed breakdown, along with the history of cheese, will help explain why they pair so well with certain wines and inform your future pairings and accompaniments. All to ensure your next cheese or dinner party blows your guests away!

We’ll be tasting three artisan English cheeses you will be able to find in most gourmet cheese shop: Eve, Wigmore and Beuvale. These cheeses pair excellently with a Riesling from Alsace. You should be able to find one in any wine shop for a reasonable price.

“I recommend purchasing your cheese and wine from a specialist shop as you will receive better quality products and also support a small business. If you can't find these specific cheeses, just ask your local cheesemonger for suggestions and I’m sure they will be happy to help!”

We'd love you to join in and participate but you're also welcome to just sit back, relax and watch the fun!
All prices are reflected in £GBP, however, we welcome guests from across the globe. Your total amount will be converted into your local currency at checkout.
The ticket price reflects up to two people sharing one screen/login. For additional participants, you must purchase additional tickets.
You'll be provided your Zoom link upon booking, no later than 72 hours before the start of your class.
